Jackson students were able to participate in special clubs this Friday morning. Each student selected a club that they would like to join based on their interests. Students who complete their work and have no office referrals are able to go to their club during the monthly meeting time. Some clubs include: Girl Power, Running/Walking, Basketball, Soccer, LEGO Stream, Science experiments, Cooking, and Art Fun.

All Jackson Elementary School were able to visit the Kingsport Carousel last week during Related Arts. Due to the generosity of the people of Kingsport and the hard work of the volunteers, we were able to take this amazing trip for free. The students loved this special event!

The fourth grade classes at Jackson participated in a physical properties lab during science. They worked hard to measure the physical properties of different objects. They even measured the properties of chocolate.

The Kindergarten students at Jackson got to experience a Thanksgiving feast before the holiday break.

The 5th grade students at Jackson have been given an opportunity to be leaders for younger students. They are participating in a Reading Buddies program where they can inspire younger students to love to read!

Jackson special education teacher Rachel Black worked this past week with Girls Inc. to provide their staff with training on how to best care for students with autism.

Jackson Elementary's nine week celebration included special visits from Superheroes Superman and Batman, as well as Coach Bill Francis (a KCS superhero). Students celebrated Perfect Attendance, "A" Honor Roll, Goal Setting, and Leadership Notebooks!
